Weight Loss Update

Since January of 2007, I've been on a weight loss journey, starting at a peak weight of 239 pounds.

Since then, with lots of work, dieting, and walking several times per week, I have been able to drop my overall weight down to 202 pounds, as of this morning. For those of you that are not so good at math, thats 37 pounds lost, thus far.

Woohoo!

Weight Lost Goal

It's time to set a new goal soon... since starting my "weight loss extravaganza" back in June of this year, I have lost a total of 25 pounds. That's 30 pounds if you go all the way back to January. w00t.

At the present, I currently file all my tracking and progress from Traineo and FitDay. I recommend that you check Traineo out - its a wonderful tool, and in a short while, they will be integrating the components and functions of FitDay for calorie tracking.

Diet Update...

Exhumed from Traineo... 09/30/07

Working on a 1800-2000 calorie for the most part. My progress has slowed a bit, I got a bit distracted when Liz got back from holidays, and started to slack off... working on getting back on track.

It's interesting... I didn't turn on the TV for more that 2 hours for the entire two weeks she was gone... I guess my computer addiction is much stronger than I thought ;). The problem is, Liz likes the TV and all the shows that go along with the TV... I find myself getting consumed in those once in a while... *cough* maybe a couple hours per night.

Exercise, I get out of the house everyday - I'm going on 45-60 minute walks in the fresh air. I usually do this directly after work (2PM or so). I am also trying to get in the habit of doing calisthenics, push ups and sit ups.

Still want to get back to the gym...

Oh, I forgot to mention the HARDCORE PAINTING and HOME WRECKING. Liz and I are painting the bathroom, all the trim in the apartment, as well as all the windowsills.

My dad is coming over on Tuesday to help me lay out a new laminate floor throughout the place. Aside from the painting, I have been busy ripping up the old floor, carpet, tile, carpet strips, and the perimeter trim that we are replacing. w00t.

RAWK

Not feeling too bad today - things are going well. I am currently 229 - up one pound. Not bad considering I ate like crap on the weekend - broke a few rules - had the guys over the ate pizza (after going out for dinner... :)).

Now... if I could only drag my ass out to the gym...

Got on the scale...

So, I got my fat ass back on the scale today, and am delighted to report that I have lost an additional 3 pounds off my total. Today's reported weight is 228.

I must say, I'm quite surprised, lately I have been working non-stop, eating like crap (Chinese on Wednesday). However, I have taken over control of my diet. I find myself spending $20-30 every 8 days or so at the product market on the boardwalk - fresh produce, fish, meat. I have completely abolished fast food and takeout from my diet, and am basically cooking 7 dinners a week - which is a shitty task, but it great for me.

My next step here is to get started on my muscle mass again, and get back to the gym. I am the ultimate procrastinator but I am going to build it into my routine... Work tends to blend in with lots of things when you work from home.

I'm dieting...

I have been on the diet for about 2 weeks now. I seem to be doing well. I am feeling healthier with more energy and more motivation. I am looking forward to making a positive change in my diet, lifestyle and appearance.

For the duration of the diet, I will be relying on the Mens Health forums and other sources such as friends and family for advice and support.

I will be assessing my muscle mass size and body fat in two weeks time. At this time, I will be able to establish some serious goals for my progress. I look forward to my continued progress.

I have also setup rewards and milestones for my progress. These rewards will be 100% beneficial for my weight training and body maintenance program.
