Yesterday I completed my 70-290 exam at the Prometric testing centre in Metrotown... the test was pretty clear, and I seemed to have answers for all the questions - I ended up passing the test with a 859; passing score is 700.
This most recent test introduced "Simulations," which essentially is a watered down version of the Windows 2003 Server operating system (just the functions you need), that allows you to complete tasks and requirements as specified in the question. Although I did enjoy this hands on approach to testing, I did find myself second guessing while working in the simulation - "What would Microsoft do?"
Two weeks before, I had passed my 70-270 exam, this exam is essentially about Windows XP, and client management. I passed this with a 899, passing score is 700.
Next Tuesday I am scheduled to complete 70-291 - this material (and exam) seem very similar to some of the work I completed in the Network+ exam, and I should be able to pull this one off without too much struggle. After the completion of this exam, I will be a "Microsoft Certified System Administrator."
